Sunday, November 29, 2009 11am, 1:30pm and 4pm at the Herbst Theatre Recommended for ages 4-12 Mozart's The Magic Flute tells the charming story of Prince Tamino and bird catcher Papageno's journey to rescue Pamina, a beautiful princess who has been kidnapped by the magician Sarastro. Along the way they find their true loves and discover the virtues of wisdom and forgiveness. Created from San Francisco Opera's The Magic Flute for Families in 2007, this one-hour movie with a live introduction is a perfect way for children to learn about the magic of opera. The Company's Education Department produced the movie version for Bay Area school and community programs. The movie is in English, with English subtitles.
