Comcast or DirectTV?
Does anyone know about good deals available for Comcast / DirectTV in our area? Has anyone worked with a local agent (From my experience they give the best deal)..We are moving to 5863 Greenridge Rd in the new year. Also would sincerely appreciate if you can share your experience using either of these services (Cable / Internet) with the above providers in the area.

Hi Jinal - personally we have Comcast for both cable & internet, and despite periodic annoyances as would be expected with any service, we are very happy with them. They generally have *great* deals for new subscribers, and it's especially good if you do their "triple play", getting phone svc as well as cable & internet from them. However, in about 6 months to a year after sign-up the prices will definitely go up (though we've had some success calling to get a better rate at that point as well).
You may also want to look at AT&T bundles - although their U-Verse service isn't yet available in this area, they partner with DirectTV, and of course they also have cellphone svc that might make sense for you to bundle with to get a better deal. If you require super-fast internet, however, although AT&T is starting to offer much faster DSL speeds than in the past, the prices end up being comparable and it's still difficult for them to compete with cable on that front.
