Castro Valley, like many towns throughout the Bay Area, has a weekly farmer’s market. Our farmer’s market happens on Saturdays between 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM in the North Eastern corner of the BART parking lot from May 18th to October 26th. What I like most about CV’s farmer’s market besides the freshness and supporting farmers directly are the prices. The 93rd annual Rowell Ranch Rodeo is coming May 18th and 19th to Castro Valley. This long standing tradition is one of the coolest events in the area and something everyone should attend at least once in their lifetime. The rodeo is also celebrated with a parade on Castro Valley Boulevard and scheduled for the afternoon of May 11th.
