Castro Valley, like many towns throughout the Bay Area, has a weekly farmer’s market.  Our farmer’s market happens on Saturdays between 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM in the North Eastern corner of the BART parking lot from May 18^th to October 26^th.  What I like most about CV’s farmer’s market besides the freshness and supporting farmers directly are the prices.  I’ve found our market to be one of the better deals, and especially when you compare it to some of the better known…

Although they normally are open sometime in May, our local swim facilities run by the EBPRD will be opening a little later this year. Cull Canyon is scheduled to open at Noon June 20, and Don Castro (which was closed for renovation last year) on July 6 also at Noon. Full details are here.
