California Native Plant Sale this Saturday

Sleep with the Penguins at the Academy of Sciences this Summer!

Local Swimming Holes Opening Later This Year

Although they normally are open sometime in May, our local swim facilities run by the EBPRD will be opening a little later this year. Cull Canyon is scheduled to open at Noon June 20, and Don Castro (which was closed for renovation last year) on July 6 also at Noon. Full details are here.

2010 EBRPD Trails Challenge Registration Open!

East Bay Regional Parks District is once again organizing a Trails Challenge for 2010 sponsored by Kaiser Permanente, and free registration is now open for this 17th annual program. Christmas Carousel at Tilden Park

Enjoy the Christmas Carousel at Tilden Park in the Berkeley hills, from 5:30pm - 8:30pm every evening through December 23. Santa will be visiting Monday and Tuesday, and rides are just $2 each.
