reminder: BART CV parking fee starts Monday, April 27

Just a reminder that as of Monday, April 27, BART will be charging a daily parking fee of $1 at the Castro Valley station if you park between 4am - 3pm. There are 2 ways to pay for parking, both requiring a little more effort than one would expect it should, but c'est la vie:



1) If you use an EZ Rider card for commuting:

- add the parking feature to your account so the fee will automatically be charged to your card

Clean up Greenridge Park for Earth Day - April 25

89th Annual Rowell Rodeo in May

The 89th Annual Rowell Rodeo is heading our way, right around the corner from us just on the other side of Hwy 580 towards Dublin. Although the official event happens the weekend of May 16th & 17th, there are lots of ancillary activities leading up to it including the famed Chili Cook Off on Friday May 8th, and a parade down CV Blvd starting at 10am on Saturday May 9th (viewing area in the CV Village).

"Fresh Tracks" monthly guided hike & lunch

The East Bay Regional Parks District has come up with a new Saturday series called "Fresh Tracks", which combines a 1.5 hour naturalist-led hike, lunch & live music for those 12 years old and up. Artisanal distilled spirits tasting in Alameda - Sunday, April 5

The American Distilling Institute is holding its 6th Annual conference at Hangar One/ St. George just up the road in Alameda this weekend. Although that's for the trade, their "Meet the Maker" tasting event is open to the public, where you can taste craft spirits from across the country including our own Hangar One vodkas and St. George's delicious eaux de vie and the first domestic post-ban absinthe.
